100% of Da Nang taxpayers to make electronic tax returns by 2025
The Da Nang government has just issued specific action plans on the city’s e-commerce development for the 2021 - 2025 period.
In detail, by 2025, non-cash payment in e-commerce operations citywide will have reached at least 50%, of which payment made through intermediary payment service providers will account for 80% or above.
100% of purchases made on e-commerce apps and websites will have e-invoices, whilst all of the city-based corporate and individual taxpayers will make electronic tax declarations, payment and refunds.
At least 55% of the population in urban districts and at least 30% in the suburban ones will be encouraged to join online shopping.
(B2C) (business-to-consumer), which refers to the process of selling products and services directly between a business and consumers who are the end-users of its products or services, will account for 10 - 15% of the city’s total retail sales of consumer goods and services.
Also by 2025, 50% of higher education and vocational education establishments will have launched specialised training courses on e-commerce.
A total of 15,000 businesses, family-run establishments, State management officials, and students will have access to training courses on in-demand e-commerce skills.
A total of 8.6 billion VND from the national government and city budgets, plus private investment sources will be spent on fulfilling the above-mentioned e-commerce development plans.
A relatively young population quick to adapt to and adopt new technologies, coupled with one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, made Viet Nam a fertile ground for the digital economy, including e-commerce.
Online shopping not only offers a faster and more convenient shopping experience but also reduces risks on the buyers’ side compared to traditional cash-based transactions.
