Exciting atmosphere ignites meaningful programmes for workers in Da Nang

Hosted by the Trade Union organisation of the Authority of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones, the 2021 ‘Tet Sum Vay- Ket Noi Yeu Thuong’ (Lunar New Year Reunion-Love Connection) programme and a Tet Fair for workers are taking place at a Culture and Sports Centre for Workers in the Lien Chieu District-based Hoa Khanh Industrial Park during this weekend.

During the event, the trade union organisation donated cash gifts, valued at one million VND each, to 1,000 its members in difficult circumstances, plus 200,000 VND worth of vouchers to 550 needy workers.

Besides, free coach tickets were given to 1,700 migrant poor workers as a way to help them return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet with their families.

Likewise, the organisation partnered with local businesses to organise the Tet Fair 2021 for blue-collar workers. At the fair, participants have the opportunity to buy essential goods which are much cheaper than those sold in the local market.

The trade union organisation also cooperated with Da Nang Department of Health and the Lien Chieu District-based Medical Centre to provide free medical checkups and treatment for those in need.

Mr Nguyen Thanh Trung, Chairman of the Trade Union organisation of the Authority of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones, said his organisation planned to present gifts to nearly 100 members of four businesses affected by Covid-19 in a bid to help them overcome their difficulties and drive their economic recovery.
