The modern multi-storey, steel-framed car parking will consist of two 6-storey blocks, with each floor accommodating 160 cars, using the Puzzle Parking method.
Puzzle Parking is a fully automated system featuring a combination of pallets that enables horizontal and vertical movement of parking spots just like a puzzle to park and retrieve cars. A fully automatic independent system can be easily configured and customised to any property.
The garage will also be designed with control equipment, fire alarms, an automatic guarding system, and other advanced support technologies.
The new development aims to meet a growing demand for car parking in the inner city amidst the current illegal parking of countless private cars on downtown streets causing partial congestion.
The municipal Management Board of Traffic Project Investment and Construction will be in charge of developing and managing the project over the 2020 - 2022 period.
Da Nang’s first-ever automated parking garage was officially put into operation in 2019 at 255 Phan Chau Trinh, Hai Chau District.
In addition, 5.8 billion VND from the city budget will be spent on the expansion of a section of Luu Quy Ky Street in Hai Chau District as a move to enhance the local traffic infrastructure network and give a facelift to the city’s urban landscapes as well.
Featuring its asphalt concrete surface, the soon-to-be-expanded section will also consist of underground low voltage power lines and telecommunication cables.
The expansion project will be carried out by the district authorities from 2020 - 2022.
