CAAV urges nationwide airports to tighten control measures amid COVID-19 fears
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has urged all airports across Viet Nam to tighten measures to control COVID-19 amid coronavirus pandemic sweeping some Vietnamese localities.
The CAAV has ordered airport authorities, domestic aircraft carriers, and other firms in the aviation industry to stay compliant with guidelines for the prevention and control of COVID-19 issued by Viet Nam’s national government, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, and the Ministry of Health.
All domestic airlines have been asked to make sure that all their passengers make e-health declaration before boarding a plane, and wear a face mask during flights in a bid to protect themselves and others from COVID-19.
In addition, nationwide airports must put in place strict control measures in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
In the face of Covid-19, all aiport authorites across Viet Nam and domestic airline operators must put in place the strictest health measures both on the ground and in flight to keep their passengers protected at every step of their journey. They have also been asked to deal with violations of Viet Nam’s COVID-19 rules.
Besides, all domestic airlines must abide by Viet Nam’s quarantine rules for their flight crews.
