The Da Nang People’s Committee has just approved the roadmap and cost estimates for the implementation of a project for developing the yacht industry and related services in the city.

The project is expected to be built in 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2045 at a cost of VND1.5 billion from the municipal budget.

The project to develop the yacht industry and related services aims to attract domestic and foreign tourists, in tandem with seeking new development motivation for Da Nang in the coming time.

Under the project, focus will be on drawing up specific plans to develop the yacht industry and related services in Da Nang in accordance with situations and resources during each period by 2030, with a vision towards 2045, and proposing specific solutions to develop seaport services, with a focus on yacht-related ones.

Also, importance will be heed to determining construction sites and investment phases for yacht repair and maintenance projects and the building modern marinas in combination with the international marine urban chain.

Besides, the project will identify the scale, roadmap and plans to attract more investment inflows for the yacht industry and related services in Da Nang by 2030, with a vision towards 2045, with the issuance of preferential mechanisms and policies for the sake of the progress of this lucrative tourism segment.

Favourable conditions, especially in terms of administrative procedures and supportive regulations, will be created to lure more yachts to the city, including entry, exit, transit, port transfer, pick-up and drop-off, and anchorage procedures.

Also, regulations on the management and operation of yachts and marinas in the city will be taken into account under the project.
