Urgent measures introduced in tourism activities in Da Nang in response to COVID-19
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Da Nang Department of Tourism has introduced emergency measures in efforts to mitigate the risk of virus transmission.
All non-essential tourism services in the city have been asked to close until further notice. Included are serviced accommodation establishments (except for the government - accredited quarantine hotels for returnees from COVID-19 affected areas), travel and transportation services, boat tours, tourist sites and other services for tourists.
Accommodation establishments that have guests staying in their venues are allowed to remain open for these guests. They are allowed stay up until their check out time. However, these establishments must fully comply with COVID-19 preventive measures.
Hotels and guest accommodation have been required to not accept reservations from midday on July 22 until further notice, and they should notify their guests about the city’s new restrictions to tackle COVID-19.
District authorities must enforce COVID-19 rules in their areas, and impose strictest penalties for non-compliant accommodation establishments. Hotel and guest accommodation operators must bear full responsibility for COVID-19 transmissions in their venues.
