The Authortity of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Parks (IPs) has said that many businesses suggested that 20% of the workers attending work in each company operating in IPs should be tested for COVID-19 every 7 days instead of every 3 days being made mandatory for 100% of the workers. They also asked for financial support from the municipal administration to pay for testing requirements every 3 days.

However, people who face the greatest coronavirus risk, including drivers employed by companies located in IPs, still get tested every 3 days due to their risk of exposure to COVID-19 through their own close social contacts. Staff members of companies who have had a first vaccine dose or have received the full two-dose course of a vaccine should not need to be tested every week after 14 days of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

The above-mentioned suggestions by businesses aim to help them reduce costs in adopting the recommended preventive measures at the workplace in line with the current direction from the municipal government as well as faciliate them to keep their production stable.
