Two Da Nang projects named among top 60 Viet Nam Track of Startup Wheel 2021
Two startup projects in Da Nang have been named amongst the recently-released top 60 Viet Nam Track of the Startup Wheel 2021, one of the largest and most intensive start-up events in Southeast Asia for young people who are passionate about startups. They are An Xuan Solanum procumbens by Tran Le Quynh Diem ‘and ‘Carus’- an digital solution for local auto care service providers by Vo Thai Vu.
Carus - car service ecosystem is a project towards digital transformation for the auto service industry. The modern, easy-to-use and highly customizable Carus boasts many outstanding features such as creating sales coupons and e-invoices, sharing estimates to potential customers they may need to know the services and parts to be used. Also, this app helps easily identify which vehicles are due or overdue for service, and promote inventory management with ease. With its reporting system, Carus enables garage owners manage everything from sales and received payments to stock value and employee efficiency in a more effective and time-saving manner.
An Xuan Solanum procumbens project aims to build a medicinal area for the producetion of products made from solanum procumbens according to organic processes, Good Agricultural and Collection Practices for Medicinal Plants (GACP) standards as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The Startup Wheel 2021 has two tracks: SW Viet Nam Track – Accelerating local startups for the next development phase, tractions, and fundraising. SW International Track – Creating rooms for international startups expanding their business to the Viet Nam market and connecting with the startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
The top 60 SW Viet Nam Track and the top 50 SW International Track will appear at the Investment Day, which is scheduled to take place on September 23, with the use of Virtual Investment Platform, largest virtual reality investment platform in Viet Nam.
The Viet Nam Startup Day, the largest startup exhibition in Viet Nam, is slated for October 29 in Ho Chi Minh City. Key players at the event are from the national government, VCs, large corporations, startups accelerators/ incubators, associations, and startup support organisations.
However, amid the complicated developments of COVID-19, the organising board of Startup Wheel 2021 will continue to update the timelines according to the actual situation.
The annual Startup Wheel 2021 is co-hosted by the Business Startup Support Centre (BSSC) and the Young Businesspeople Association (YBA) under the Viet Nam Youth Federation of Ho Chi Minh City.
It is a 6-month startup competition, running from March to August annually for startups and young entrepreneurs in all around the world.
Launched in March, the contest has attracted 1,900 startup projects from 24 countries, including Viet Nam.
