During his visit to the Sun Group, Chairman Chinh extended his good wishes to leaders and employees of Sun Group on their special day.

He highly lauded great efforts and comprehensive contributions made by the Sun Group in developing many unique tourism products with its own brand name and deep imprint, thereby making Da Nang more inviting to both domestic and foreign visitors.

The city leader also commended the Sun Group’s efforts to effectively implement social welfare and COVID-19 prevention and control programs in the city. In particular, the group assisted the city to set up a field hospital at the Tien Son Sports Arena, as well as donated cash and medical equipment to support the city in its fight against COVID-19.

Mr Chinh took the opportunity to ask a helping hand from Sun Group to assist the city to develop action plans to drive post-pandemic tourism recovery, with a focus on positioning the city as a key investment area and promoting the sustainable development for the local tourism industry.

A Sun Group’s representative said 2022 marked the 10th birthday of the Sun Group, and Da Nang is considered as the initial foundation for the group to develop as today.

He revealed that Sun Group planned to pour about VND 5,000 billion into the realisation of its strategic development goal of turning Da Nang and Central Viet Nam into a leading entertainment and relaxation destination in the country.

Whilst meeting with leaders of the Da Nang Rubber JSC (DRC), Chairman Chinh vowed that the city would try its best to provide maximum support to help businesses overcome their pandemic-caused hardship.

He hoped that DRC shared with Da Nang during recent difficult times when the city had to put the fight against the pandemic and the health of local residents first.

General Director of DRC Le Hoang Khanh Nhut remarked, in the past times, the company has well implemented the dual goals of keeping itself out of the COVID-19 attack and boosting production by conducting the '3-on- the- spot' (on-site working, on-site dining, on-site resting) model and complying to the so-called motto ‘1 road, 2 destinations’.

“Despite the complicated developments of the pandemic, the company's total revenue in the first 9 months of 2021 reached about VND 3,300 billion, 30% higher than the previous year, whilst its employees each earn an average monthly income of VND 14 million. Over the past 9 months, the company has contributed about VND 150 billion to the city's budget and the figure is expected to hit VND 200 billion by the end of the year” said General Director Nhut.

Given the many difficulties facing the domestic market, the company plans to increase its production capacity from 600,000 to 1 million tires per year and build more manufacturing plants at a total cost of about VND 1,500 billion.

Therefore, General Director Nhut expressed his desire that the city’s authorities would create the most favourable conditions for his company to boost production, with a focus on expanding the total area of land for lease to his company and building affordable housing schemes for its employees.

Also, he thanked the city leaders for their special care to the company's workforce. As of October 9, nearly 100% of the company's employees have received 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

At the Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam (UAC), Chairman Chinh highly praised the company’s '3-on- the- spot' model which is considered as a "locomotive" model for other businesses in the city to follow. Besides, he expressed his thanks to the enterprise for introducing the US vaccine sponsor to the city.

In his reply, Mr. Ciprian Bota, Production Manager of UAC Company, thanked the city government for always creating the best conditions for his company to operate effectively in the city.
