The Da Nang Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control has recently raised the COVID-19 alert for Nai Hien Dong and An Hai Bac wards in Son Tra District to level 3 of the city’s four-tier coronavirus alert system after many community cases have been detected over recent weeks.

As reported on Sunday morning, many eating and drinking establishments in An Hai Bac and Nai Hien Dong wards were seen strictly adhering to the city's pandemic prevention and control measures.

Specifically, many food and beverage stores stretched stripes to keep a safe distance between sellers and buyers whilst only offering takeaway services.

Mrs. Nguyen Le Thi Thuy Tram, the owner of the Tu Nguyen chicken rice restaurant on Khuc Hao Street, Nai Hien Dong Ward, raised her deep concern about a growing number of coronavirus cases in the locality. She also expressed her support for raising COVID-19 alert to level 3 for Nai Hien Dong and An Hai Bac wards, and for stopping dine-in services at eateries and drinking establishments, aimed at wiping the pandemic out soon.

From November 13, functional bodies of the two wards were actively involved in widely publicizing the city's freshly-issued restrictions, as well as encouraging the owners of eating and drinking establishments to sign commitments to strictly abiding by take-out sales and QR code check-in for customer management.

Chairman of the An Hai Bac Ward People's Committee Tran Van Hung informed that the new restrictions for his ward have been widely publicized among residents on such social networking sites as Facebook and Zalo.

Meanwhile, 50% capacity cap puts on traditional and wholesale markets in the An Hai Bac Ward. Stallholders are required to use nylon sheets around their stalls to avoid direct contact with their customers. Strictest health and safe measures are now put in place in these venues, allowing space for social distancing between stall holders and ensuring strict compliance with the recommended preventive measures amongst stallholders and patrons. Maximum capacity of clients inside the hairdressing establishment and at any one time does not exceed 3.

Head of the Management Board of Son Tra District's markets Pham Tan Thanh said that the pandemic prevention and control measures at the two orange-zone markets were reactivated. Specifically, market-goers undergo compulsory body temperature measurements. Both stallholders and patrons are encouraged to wear face shields, keep a safe distance with others, and disinfect their hands regularly, especially after contacting with other people.

Anyone who does not comply with new restrictions will be resolutely banned from entering markets and will be reported to the competent authority for timely handling.
