Established in October 2021 with 8 members, the Nhien Tam Cooperative, located at 10 Binh An 4 Street in Hai Chau District, has a total registered charter capital of VND one billion which was contributed by its members.

The cooperative’s key products include fermented honey, distilled rose water, and moringa powder. Also, it has its own garden of moringa oleifera and roses in Lien Chieu District.

Besides, the cooperative uses good-quality honey sourced from Dak Lak Province, and some fruit juices and probiotics to process fermented honey products that are good for people’s health and digestive system.

Director of the Nhien Tam Cooperative Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam said that, due to its recent establishment, her cooperative was facing many difficulties in terms of capital, facilities and equipment for production as well as product promotion work.

Currently, the cooperative is making an attempt to apply advanced production technologies to improve the quality of its products, especially fermentation technology, as well as design eye-catching and distinctive labels to draw much attraction from customers.

“We are also in need of active support from relevant agencies in terms of capital, technical solutions, advanced machinery, and product consumption, to operate under a new coooperative model for sustainable development, hereby making better quality products, and increasing income for our members” said Director Tam.

From the beginning of 2021 until now, the municipal Cooperative Alliance has provided hundreds of consultations on establishing new cooperative groups and cooperatives under the Law on Cooperatives, as well as guided and supported the establishment of 8 new cooperatives, and a union of cooperatives with operational orientation according to a new model.

Also, the Alliance has introduced 7 cooperatives to join in the project " Selection, Completion and Replication of an Effective New-type Cooperative Model in the 2021-2025 Period".

Great supports have been given to many city-based cooperatives in tracing product origins, participating in fairs and trade promotion programmes.

Mr. Pham Cong Chinh, Chairman of the municipal Cooperative Alliance, said that, for the last months of this year, the focus will be on establishing new cooperatives, organising training courses on new cooperative model, and developing more hi-tech cooperative models associated with value chains.
