The Minister suggested that DHPIZA should promote public-private partnership on the basis of making appropriate proposals to the Da Nang administration, and also importantly, continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology to establish a national startup support centre in Da Nang in the coming time.

In the near future, the Ministry of Science and Technology will work with the Da Nang People's Committee towards the goal of building Da Nang into an innovative startup centre in the Central Viet Nam- Central Highlands regions.

Addressing the meeting, Mr. Pham Truong Son, Head of DHPIZA, up to now, the Da Nang Hi-tech Park has lured 24 projects totaling US$818.9 million worth of capital investment.

In particular, DHPIZA is promoting hi-tech business incubation. The Da Nang Hi-tech Park General Service Centre (DSC) has granted certifications for three outstanding projects which had completed their incubation journeys in the Da Nang Hi-tech Park.

The honoured projects are CARIS traffic virtual assistant application developed by the namesake company, the isolation and culture of indigenous microorganisms applied in soil production by Xu Tien Microbiology Technology JSC, and the development of hi-tech application models and the creation of value-added products from spirulina biomass by the Heathy Funhi Co., Ltd.

DHPIZA is seeking approval from the Da Nang People's Committee on the establishment of the Da Nang Centre for Incubation, Training, Research and Development to promote local science and technology activities.

It is hoped that the Ministry of Science and Technology will help Da Nang attract large and potential investment flows into its Hi-tech Park and give priority to organising national and international-level investment attraction conferences in this central coastal Vietnamese city in the time ahead.
