About two weeks left to the 2022 Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, the sales of abundant Tet decoration items are turning vibrant and bustling across Da Nang.

As overserved at some specialised shopping streets in the city inner such as Hung Vuong and Ong Ich Khiem, this year's Tet decoration items are diverse with affordable prices that do not fluctuate much as compared to other years.

Given the fact that 2022 is the year of the Tiger, there are a wide range of decorative products associated with the image of the tiger boasting beautiful designs. The main colours of these items that are preferred much by consumers are red and yellow.

Specifically, small decorative strings cost from VND10,000 - 20,000/apiece, whilst golden coins bearing the words such as "Happy New Year" and "All things go well", depending on their sizes, are priced from VND120,000 - 250,000 /product.

LED string lights are sold at from VND100,000 - 160,000 /string, whilst decorative hanging rope products in the shape of a golden tiger range from VND30,000 to 200,000/apiece depending on their sizes and designs.

Happy New Year red envelopes printed with golden tigers for lucky money storing are offered at VND10,000 - 50,000/stack. Eye-catching lanterns are valued at VND 150,000 - 350,000 VND/pair.

Besides, there are the high-class types of decorations, like the Zamioculcas zamiifolia tree whose price is VND300,000 VND - 2 million, depending on the size.

Besides home decorations, artificial flowers are also interested by many consumers. Over these days, flowers made from silk with diverse patterns are display for sale.

Prices also vary from cheap to expensive depending on the material. For the time being, a bunch of 10 branches of man-made apricot/ peach blossoms with a length of 1m costs about VND120,000 - 200,000.

Ms. Hua My Ngan, the owner of Mai teddy bear shop located at 8 Dien Bien Phu, Thanh Khe District said, this year's decorative products are very diverse. Some items such as tiger-shaped foam, flowers, stickers and coin-shaped hanging wires and other decorations bearing words of best wishes.

According to Ms. Ngan, the prices of many items are now kept unchanged as compared to the previous year, but consumption is still slow.

From the 27^th of the 12^th lunar month onwards, the demand for shopping for new Tet decorations may increase because employees will be off from work for Tet holiday and have more time to clean and decorate their houses.
