Till date, the Authority of Da Nang's Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Parks has attracted and granted investment licences for 24 projects. 11 of them have already put into operation, four are under construction, and seven are carrying out the following procedures after being granted investment licences.

Eleven out of the 24 aforementioned projects have a total registered capital of millions of dollars. These projects have been already put into operation, including the US$ 40 million Tokyo Keiki Precision Technology, the US$30 million engine casting plant for the Niwa Foundry Viet Nam Company, the US$ 20 million Dentium ICT Vina medical equipment factory, the US$170 million Sunshine aerospace components plant, the US$5.1 million Hatsuta Automatic Safety Solutions Co., Ltd, and the US$6 million plant for manufacturing rubber products and components for electrical and electronic product manufacturers.

In 2021 alone, the US$35 million Fujikin-Danang Research and Development (R&D) Centre, developed by Fujikin Incorporated from Japan, is one of the biggest projects that have been attracted to the Da Nang Hi-tech Park. This is the 7th Japanese-invested project to have invested into the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, and it is the second-largest source of foreign direct investment into the park after the US$40 million Tokyo Keiki project.

The development will produce air valves using semi-conductor production lines, artificial intelligence (AI) robots, new generation medical equipment, and hydrogen energy technology.

According to the Authority of Da Nang's Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Parks, most prominent among seven projects that are implementing procedures after being granted investment licences are the US$28.5 million automation equipment manufacturing plant for the garment industry, and the US$110 million semiconductor manufacturing plant developed by the United States Enterprises.

Mr. Ciprian Bota, the Director of Operations of the Sunshine aerospace components factory, remarked that despite the impact of COVID-19 in 2021, his company still found the best ways to adapt flexibly to the pandemic to ensure the smooth of production activities.

"In 2022, the company will continue to take drastic solutions to both maintain production and business activities and ensure pandemic prevention and control according to the city's guidelines. Currently, the factory has 850 employees in total" revealed he.

Most recently, investment proposals have been granted to Silicon Valley investors, including  the US$60 million Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) factory developed by the US’s Vector Fabrication Inc, and US$135 semiconductor and a 3D printer manufacturing project, at the city’s Hi-tech Park.

Head of the Authority Pham Truong Son, in 2021 – a year full of difficulties and challenges due to the prolonged pandemic, the attraction of potential investors with large projects to the municipal Hi-tech Park is the result of the great efforts made by the city leaders. Over the past year, the Authority coordinated with functional bodies to organize more virtual investment promotion programmes with European markets, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), and some other markets.

To ensure the progress of projects in the Da Nang Hi-tech Park, the Authority continues to urge the projects' developers to soon resume their production and business activities.

Moreover, the Authority also suggested investors to have a plan to allocate capital and carry out procedures for equipment and machinery procurement.

The focus will be on looking for experts and recruiting workers, promoting technology transfer, organizing professional training.

Besides, importance will be attached to creating a transparent and open business and investment environment by simplifying administrative procedures and accelerating the application of information technology and digital transformation.
