Landscape design of Nguyen Tat Thanh coastal route in Da Nang appraised
On Monday, the Da Nang administration leaders appraised the landscape design of Nguyen Tat Thanh coastal route.
According to the Huni Vietnam Co., Ltd, the architectural design consulting unit, the overall concept design orientation must be in harmony between factors such as diverse and attractive utilities, iconic works for the expansion of public spaces, preserving traditional values and protecting adverse natural elements.
The landscape design project for the long coastal route is expected to be divided into 3 areas.
As for ‘the reconstruction of the old center of the city’ area, the design aims to provide solutions to enhance people's lives and ensure beautiful beaches stretching along the whole route.
With regard to ‘the new residential connection area’, new residential areas will take their shape along both sides of the Phu Loc River and extending to the north of Thanh Khe District with new residential areas.
The landscape design of this area could be aimed at creating a new focal point for the growing residential areas, forming coastal night-time markets and giving impetus to the northern axis of the city.
‘The new tourism development area’ stretches along sections of Nguyen Tat Thanh route in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lieu Chieu District. There will be new tourist-residential development areas with outstanding projects such as Mikazuki Hotel & Spa Resort, a night market combined with a Japanese-style walking street, and the Asiana Luxury Residences Da Nang.
This will be the future tourist attraction of the city with landscape utilities developed by large corporations, expected to promote tourism industry development.
At the appraisal meeting, the participants presented their constructive opinions and recommendations on the landscape master plan idea with a focus on such issues as landscape, transportation system, trees, effective exploitation and commercial values.
In particular, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son highly appreciated the design and asked consulting unit to complete it as soon as possible.
The Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts should focus on ensuring site clearance work in preparation for the landscape embellishment project along the route.
