Reopening of international flights to Da Nang promised soon

Vice Chairman Son reaffirmed the Da Nang administration’s stance on closely working with airlines and relevant units to remove difficulties and obstacles. He also proposed that the municipal Department of Tourism coordinate with functional bodies to promote tourism publicity and communication activities so that tourists from both home and abroad can be informed of Da Nang’s readiness and eagerness to welcome them back in the new normal.
The city leader also highly appreciated airlines for have mapped out specific plans to reopen flights to Da Nang at the earliest.
He also suggested that such other carriers as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet and Bamboo quickly accelerate the resumption of international flights to this tourism hub and put them on the earliest planned schedule.
In the common spirit of restoring tourism activities, the local tourism industry must widely release tourism stimulus programmes whilst the healthcare sector shall soon develop COVID-19 prevention and control plans, especially on how to deal with tourists who are conformed to contract the coronavirus.
In particular, it is necessary for airlines to build up pandemic prevention protocols and join hands with prestigious travel agencies and accommodation establishments to create large travel stimulus packages with a full range of diverse services so as to attract more travellers.
Up to now, in addition to Singapore Airlines, which is scheduled to reopen the Singapore - Da Nang route starting March 27, other air passenger carriers are expected to resume services in a bid to bring international travellers to the central Vietnamese city. in the time ahead.
The Vietjet Air and some airlines plan to reopen some routes connecting the Republic of Korea and Da Nang from April or May, whilst the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines eyes to operate international flights to the city in June or July.
