Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son cum Head of the city’s Steering Committee 389 has approved a work plan to combat smuggling, counterfeit goods and trade fraud in the city in 2022.

Accordingly, the Steering Committee 389 on Anti-smuggling,Counterfeit Goods and Trade Fraud directed functional local agencies to takemany appropriate measures to promptly handle arising problems and ‘hotspots’ on the production and trading of banned, smuggled, counterfeit and unsecured goods for the sake of food safety.

In particular, focus on cracking down on smuggling acts, commercial frauds and counterfeit products on sale on e-commerce platforms, and strictly handling those who take advantage of e-commerce activities to commit acts of smuggling, trade frauds and counterfeit goods.

At the same time, heed will be paid to advising the public against assisting smugglers, and actively participating in detecting and denouncing crimes and violations of the law related to smuggling, trade frauds and counterfeit goods.

In addition, the city will promote the campaign ‘Vietnamese people give priority to consuming Vietnamese goods’ to contribute to creating positive changes in consumers' shopping behaviour and habits in the city, and promoting domestically-made products to domestic and foreign tourists in particular.
