The Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre on Monday held a ceremony at the Da Nang International Airport to welcome a delegation of 720 M.I.C.E (Meetings-Incentives-Conferences-Exhibitions) visitors.

The visitors came to the city from localities nationwide to attend the 2022 Million Dollar Round Table organised by the Manulife Vietnam Life Insurance Company from March 7 to 9 to honour its outstanding agencies. They are staying at the Sheraton Grand Danang Resort.

This has been the largest M.I.C.E delegation to Da Nang since the city continued its pilot programme to welcome M.I.C.E guests in 2022.

Under the city-issued M.I.C.E policy in 2022, the M.I.C.E guests were welcomed at the airport and given flowers and congratulatory gifts. Also, local traffic police cars led the way for guiding the visitors from the airport to their hotel.

Deputy Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre Huynh Thi Huong Lan said that Da Nang continued to deploy its MICE policy in 2022 to support related M.I.C.E services providers, thereby driving the local tourism recovery. Through the policy, the tourism industry has launched special programmes and policies to attract large groups of tourists to Da Nang.

During this year and the following years, MICE guests are a potential and quality market, promising to bring great revenue for Da Nang’s tourism industry.

It is known that in addition to the 2022 Million Dollar Round Table, the Manulife Vietnam Life Insurance Company still chooses Da Nang to host a symposium to start business in 2022 for more than 900 employees nationwide from March 15 to 18.

Similarly, the Bao Viet Life Insurance Company plans to also organise the ‘National Business Conference 2022’ from March 9 to 13 in Da Nang.
