Upon the petrol price hike on March 11, a number of retail items at grocery stores  Da Nang-wide such as instant noodles, seasoning powder, cooking oil and sugar increased 7-10% as compared to that recorded in late 2021.

Currently, the purchasing power in the market is still weak, if it is only based on transport prices to increase the selling price of finished products, it will be difficult to convince consumers. However, for businesses producing these essential items, they need to adjust the selling price upward at this time.

Specifically, cooking oil has increased by VND1,000-3,000/liter, depending on types, chicken eggs by VND2,000/dozen.

Meanwhile, at the Hoa Cuong wholesale market, most fruits has climbed by VND3,000-10,000 /kg, depending on types.

Notably, at present, pork prices are kept stable, but cattle slaughterhouses have announced that they will increase prices in the near future.
