Accelerate progress, complete projects on schedule as committed, Da Nang top leader urges
It is high time for investors, contractors and construction units to complete the construction work on schedule as required. This instruction was delivered by Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang during his inspection visits on Wednesday morning to the site of upgrading DH2 road and building a section of the Western Ring Road from National Highway 14B to Ho Chi Minh Road.

Having inspected the actual progress of the DH2 route, Secretary Quang suggested that the project’s investor, contractors and construction units complete the project by June 30, 2022 and take accountability for any delays’.
At the same time, it was also recommended to focus on construction manpower to complete the upgrading of the sidewalks, including work items that are facing difficulties in terms of site clearance.
At the scene, Director of the Da Nang Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Le Thanh Hung said that the DH2 road has a main route length of 8.9km and a return branch line of 1.1km. the construction contract value is more than VND202 billion.
The road is parallel to the bypass on the northern side of the Da Nang- Quang Ngai Express project.
Work commented on the project in 2018 and the municipal People's Committee has approved the extension of the completion deadline to December 31, 2022.
Up to now, about 81% of the project workload has been completed.
Currently, contractors are facing a number of difficulties in terms of high raw material prices and site clearance. However, taking advantage of ongoing favourable weather, the management board is urging contractors to speed up the construction progress and soon complete the project as previously committed.
At the site of building a section of the Western Ring Road from National Highway 14B to Ho Chi Minh Road, one of Da Nang’s key projects helping improve the connectivity of southeast and western rural regions to the city centre, the city’s Party chief also urged relevant units to map out a specific plan to complete the first part of the project on schedule by June 30.
According to Director of the Da Nang Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects Nguyen Minh Huy, over the past time, his agency has asked contractors to mobilise appropriate human and material resources for construction and accelerate the progress.
The Management Board is committed to direct contractors to complete the construction work before September 30, 2022 and put the project into operation before December 31, 2022.
