Procedures needed completing for putting key Da Nang projects into operation soon

It is a must-do to complete all necessary procedures to put key Da Nang projects into operation at the earliest. The requirement was made by Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Council Le Minh Trung during his field inspection visit on Friday to the construction sites of the Hoa Lien Water Plant project located in Hoa Vang District and Software Park No. 2 based in Hai Chau District.

At the Hoa Lien Water Plant site, the Management Board of the Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Projects announced that, the first stage of the project, with a daily water supply capacity of 120,000m3, reached completion on March 25, 2022, and it is expected to operate for water supplies in May.

So far, main work items have basically been completed, including the reinforced concrete dam on the Cu De River, the raw water pumping station, the raw water pipeline with the corresponding length of 10km leading water from the raw water pumping station to the plan for production.

The already-completed treatment has been put into operation at a full capacity within 72 hours, with the good work performance.

Water to the factory is tested for water quality according to regulations of the Ministry of Health. Currently, the capacity of the first phase of the plant is 120,000m3/day.

As for the concrete road surrounding the water plan, 70% of the workload has been completed. The project’s managers are coordinating with Hoa Vang District People's Committee to deploy the remaining section of the road.

Having checked the construction progress of this key project, Standing Vice Chairman Trung requested the project’s management board to soon complete a number of ancillary items and resolve outstanding issues.

He also underlined a need to review legal procedures so that when the plant can be inaugurated as soon as possible.

It is known that the project is of special significance in ensuring clean water supplies for homes and businesses in Da Nang, especially for urban areas, residential areas in the northwestern part of the city, and the Da Nang High-Tech Park, hereby helping ensure the long-term water security in the city.

As schedule, the second stage of the project will target at increasing the plant’s daily water supply capacity to 240,000 m3, thus meeting the city’s development requirements.

Meanwhile, the Da Nang Software Park No. 2 project is proceeding well.

The consortium of contractors and supervision consultants have made every effort and concentrated all resources to ensure the on-scheduled completion of the bidding packages as committed.

The progress of 2 blocks, namely ICT1 and ICT2, has basically met the requirements.

It is expected that, by August 2022, the installation of equipment and related items at the above-mentioned blocks will have reached completion in line with the contract schedule.

The accumulated disbursement value of the project from the commencement date to April 13 was VND588.25 billion, accounting for 84% of the total allocated capital (VND698.8 billion).

Standing Vice Chairman Trung suggested that the project’s managers focus on accelerating the construction of ICT1 block, and at the same time, review the effectiveness of the project and propose the city leaders on investment methods for ICT2 block.

Also, another important task was to make proposal to the municipal government for appraisal on the provision of additional equipment, including elevators and generators, for both blocks.
