Total retail sales in Da Nang continue enjoying positive growth in April
The total retail sales of consumer goods in Da Nang are estimated to have gone up 5.5% against the previous month to reach VND5,830 billion, a rise of 3.5% as compared to the same period last year, according to the Da Nang Statistics Bureau.
A number of commodity groups have recorded high revenue growth against March, including household appliances, and tools and equipment up by 34.3%; means of transport (except for cars, including spare parts) 18.9%; other fuel (except for gasoline and oil) 27.6%; other goods 23.6%; and garments 6.1%.
As accumulated, the total retail sales of consumer goods recorded in the first four months of the year are estimated at VND21,800 billion, up 4.5% over the same period in 2021. Of this, 6 out of the 11 commodity groups have achieved positive growth. In general, retail sales of goods are showing positive signs of recovery.
The sales of goods have also showed positive signs of growth. Total wholesale of goods in April is estimated at VND13,000 billion, up 15.8% over the same period last year.
During the January-April period, the total wholesale of goods is likely to have generated more than VND51,000 billion, an increase of 10% as compared with the same period last year.
In which, most of the product groups have had a significant increase in revenue, whilst a number of product groups with a large proportion recorded an increase which is higher than the general average, including garments up 21.3%; cultural and educational products 16.8%; means of transport (except for cars) 33.6%; other fuel (except petrol) 25.7%; and petrol and oil of all kinds 12.3%.
