The Da Nang People's Committee has issued a decision approving the adjustment of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park project in accordance with the Decisions No. 5075/QD-UBND dated June 26, 2012 and Decision No. 1356/QD-UBND dated March 4, 2014 of the Da Nang government.

Accordingly, the Da Nang administration will adjust the implementation time of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park project from ‘2012 - 2020’ to ‘2012 - 2025’. It means that the completion deadline will be extended from 2020 to 2025.

The Da Nang People's Committee has assigned the Authority of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones as the investor and the Management Board of Da Nang Industrial Park and Hi-Tech Park Infrastructure Development Projects as the project manager for the implementation of next steps, to ensure compliance with the current provisions of the law.

The Da Nang Hi-tech Park belongs to group A project, level 2 technical infrastructure work, with a planning area of 1,128.40ha. However, in order to meet the needs of attracting large investment projects, the municipal administration has proposed to the Prime Minister for permission to adjust the overall planning of the Hi-Tech Park to 1,844ha, an increase of 715ha as compared to the current area.

At the same time, in Official Letter 5561/UBND-SXD dated August 28, 2021, the Da Nang government has directed the municipal Department of Construction to separate the dossiers and costs of planning the construction subdivision of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park according to an area of 1,844 hectares out of the scope of planning for the Hi-Tech Park subdivision with an area of 5,585 hectares according to the adjusted content of the Da Nang Master Plan to 2030, with a vision towards  2045 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 359 /QD-TTg dated March 15, 2021.
