Da Nang ready for summer tourism season 2022

According to Mrs. Pham Thi Tu Uyen, Sales Director of the Risemount Premier Resort Danang, compared to major holidays, the room occupancy rate of about 70-80% on weekends and about 50% on weekdays was not high. She explained the main reason is thought to be that the city’s peak holiday season usually starts from June onwards, when students are off schools for 3 months.
Also being busy with operating and consulting tours for guests, Mr. Le Cong Hoa, Director of the Viet Discovery Trading and Tourism Co., Ltd predicts that this summer, Da Nang tourism will soon be vibrant again because there has been a significant increase in the number of visitor arrivals to Da Nang.
Currently, the needs and tastes of customers have also changed a lot, he said. Therfore, tourism firms must also adapt and be flexible to change in accordance with current tourism trends. In particular, they have to take the initiative to develop short-day products, and offer partial service combos for customers such air tickets, hotel rooms, sightseeing tours, and experience tours.
Up to now, Da Nang's tourism service providers have resumed full operation, so tourism businesses find it very convenient to consult and sell tours to customers.
Director of the NAM KING Traver Co.,Ltd. Tran Dinh Nam remarked that since the April 30 and May 1 holiday, his company has received many bookings of tours and combos. Currently, a number of delegations from Northern Viet Nam have signed contracts with the company. Although the number of guests is not too large, this is also a good sign for Da Nang tourism in the coming summer days.
In order to prepare for the recovery of the domestic tourist market this summer, earlier, the city has launched the Da Nang Tourism Stimulus Programme 2022 themed ‘Enjoy Da Nang’ with many attractive and unique product packages at preferential prices and professional service quality, promising to bring the best incentives and service experiences to visitors.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Trai, Director of the Da Nang branch of the Mai Linh Tourism Company, cum leader of a sales team of the city’s tourism stimulus programme, underlined “there has been an increasing number of customers looking for relevant information about Da Nang. Therefore, the programme’s salespeople will work with relevant units to develop the most attractive and preferential new product packages to lure more visitors to Da Nang this summer”.
According to Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association Cao Tri Dung, tourism service providers in the city have prepared various products for this peak summer tourism season, with focus on tourism product packages being sold by 12 travel agencies and tourism service providers in the city.
Meanwhile, small tours and tourism products dedicated for groups of retail customer groups include experience tours at the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area, the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, a river tour, and a city tour.
Also, the city has developed incentive programmes with high-quality products for groups of M.I.C.E visitors.
Moreover, the city also has new products such as the opening of some inland waterway routes, and nighttime tourism activities.

Some tourist attractions in the city plan to organize many attractive programmes to serve visitors.
In particular, visitors to the Sun World Ba Na Hills will have the opportunity to experience a mountain-climbing railway that is nearly 430 metres long, participate in the Food and Beer Festival (B'estival) 2022, and enjoy an arts show entitled ‘The Battle of the Moon Kingdom’ to be performed by more than 160 international artists.
Moreover, the Sun World Ba Na Hills will introduce a new project Grand Cascade with more than 40 golden statues, promising to surprise visitors.
“Despite high competitiveness from neighbouring localities, Da Nang still has its own attraction for domestic tourists. From the positive signals of the past two holidays together with the efforts of the city and businesses, it is hoped that this summer, Da Nang will welcome a peak number of domestic tourists like that in 2019 "Mr. Dung said.
