The Vietbuild Da Nang International Exhibition 2022 was officially open on Wednesday morning at the Da Nang Exhibition and Convention Centre at 9 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street.

The event was jointly organised by the Information Centre under the Ministry of Construction, the Vietbuild Construction International Exhibition Organisation Company, and the Da Nang Centre for Industry and Trade Promotion under the direction and sponsorship of the Ministry of Construction and the municipal People's Committee.

This year’s event features 1,000 pavilions introducing new products, advanced technologies and famous brand names from many countries worldwide.

Many participating businesses have impressively decorated booths with an area of from 36m² - 220m² each to promote their brand names and display diverse products in the fields of construction, building materials, real estate, and interior and exterior decoration.

In her remarks at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen underlined that the international exhibition was held right after the COVID-19 is well controlled in Viet Nam. This was a good news for the resumption of investment, production and economic development activities in the city which have been suspended or slowed down due to the impact of the pandemic.

Vice Chairwoman Yen hoped that participating businesses would introduce their potential, strengths, new products and new achievements to Da Nang people, international friends, and domestic and foreign partners.

“We hope that through this exhibition, many new contracts will be signed between organisations, individuals, and investors from both home and abroad, thereby contributing to developing investment and expanding consumption market in Da Nang and Central Viet Nam as a whole", emphasised Mrs. Yen.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh highlighted the importance of the exhibition in deploying State's guidelines and policies on construction, real estate, trade promotion, technology transfer, investment cooperation and brand name building and development, as well as in supporting businesses to drive their post-pandemic production and business recovery.

He noted that this year’s exhibition focused on promoting supply and demand connection, and technology connection, on digital platforms, digital economy and e-commerce trading platforms.

On the sidelines of the event are a wide range of fascinating programmes such as seminars on creating opportunities and good conditions for businesses to develop together, as well as boosting technology transfer and experience exchanges, cooperation in financial investment, and linkage to launch new product lines on construction materials, real estate, high-class interior and exterior decoration.

The Vietbuild Da Nang International Exhibition 2022 will last until May 22.
