As reported by the Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment, the online contractor selection in the first quarter of 2022 for projects using public investment capital far exceeded the target and the number of contractors according to the law.

Data published on the National Procurement Network in the first quarter of 2022 shows that Da Nang had 124 bidding packages applying the form of open bidding and competitive offers for online bidding, reaching 99.2%, equivalent to 124 out the 125 bidding packages.

The total value of bidding packages conducted via online bidding is VND259.13 billion, reaching the rate of 99.97%, equivalent to 259.13 out of the VND259.22 billion.

In reality, online bidding has proved to be the most effective tool to ensure that the bidding was competitive, fair, transparent and economical, contributing to the reform of administrative procedures in the process of selecting contractors.

Online bidding not only shortens the time and reduces costs for bid solicitors and tenders, but also prevents swindling.
