Promoting Da Nang products in tandem with priority to using Vietnamese goods
The Da Nang government has issued a plan to implement the programme to promote Da Nang products in association with the implementation of the campaign ‘Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods’ in the 2022 - 2025 period.
Accordingly, one the spotlight of the programme are OCOP (One Commune-One Product) signature products, souvenirs for tourism, rural industrial, craft, electrical and electronic, hi-tech agricultural and hi-tech products and those from Da Nang's innovative start-ups and products that have been granted intellectual property protection titles in the form of collective marks, certification marks or geographical indications.
Other products manufactured in Da Nang meet regulations on quality standards, food safety and clear origin.
Participants in the programme are enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, production and business establishments based in Da Nang, all of which are established in accordance with the current laws and have production and trading activities of suitable products.
The target audience of the programme is consumers, tourists, domestic and foreign businesses.
Under the programme, focus will be placed on surveying the current situation, collecting information about businesses and products, organising communication activities to promote products through publications and publicity materials, launching the display of products at such sites as the Da Nang Administrative Center, the Da Nang Exhibition Centre, the headquarters of the Authority of Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones, the airport, railway station, piers, marinas, rest stops, traditional craft villages and tourist attractions, including the Ba Na Hills, Marble Mountains, Son Tra Peninsula, Nui Than Thai Hot Spring Park and the Da Nang Museum.
Also, trade centers, supermarkets, specialty stores, and self-selected stores are encouraged to organize display spaces to introduce products and sell products in crowded areas, residential areas and civilised markets.
Many exhibitions of Da Nang products by topic/or industry group will be periodically organised at the APEC Park, Bien Dong (East Sea) Park, cultural houses, district-level sports centres, especially during the peak tourist season (from April to October every year) and 3-5 times/year as expected.
In addition, trade promotion and connection activities will be taken into account.
