The Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center under the municipal Department of Tourism on Friday afternoon held a welcoming ceremony for first delegates who will attend Routes Asia 2022 to take place in the city from June 4- 9.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, a nearly 30 member- delegation from Informa Routes Company as a co-host for Routes Asia 2022, arrived in Da Nang on Friday. The guests were transported to accommodation facilities designated for Routes Asia 2022 in the city from the Airport, including Pullman Danang Resort, Grand Mercure, Furama Resort, and Golden Bay.

Da Nang is attending Routes Asia for the first time, with the Da Nang People’s Committee, Da Nang Department of Tourism and IPP Travel Retail being selected as the hosts of the 16^th annual route development forum.

Between June 3 and June 6, Da Nang will welcome over 450 delegates from 200 international aviation agencies and organisations from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America who will be attending Routes Asia 2022.

As the only route development event dedicated to Asia Pacific, the event will provide a platform for the region's airlines, airports, tourism authorities and aviation stakeholders to meet, share best practice and come together to develop network strategies and ensure future air service development across Asia Pacific.

By hosting this year’s edition of Routes Asia, Da Nang is seeking to reactivate its tourism industry and position the seaport city as a hub for entrepreneurship, innovation, logistics, finance and culture over the coming decade.

On June 4 and June 5, participating delegates are scheduled to conduct a field trip to the Da Nang International Airport, enjoy arts performances on the Han River cruises, watch a fire and water breathing show at the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, explore Da Nang by night, visit the Sun World Ba Na Hills before attending Routes Asia 2022.
