According to the Informa Routes Company, one of the event’s organisers, as of late May 2022, 450 delegates from 190 organisations, including 81 airlines, 79 airports, 11 destinations and 19 aviation service providers, had registered to join Routes Asia 2022. 75-80% of them came from Asia, whilst the rest were from the Americas, Europe and Middle East countries.

Aside from pre-booked appointments on the Routes Asia system, Da Nang will participate in seminars on promoting the opening of international routes to the city, and advertising the city's images to potential markets.

Also, the city plans to attend eight conferences and seminars. The most highlights will be the ‘Viet Nam Case Study’ seminar, and talks about recovery solutions for airports and airlines, and the new aviation trends in the future.

The municipal Department of Tourism has connected with the Informa Routes Company, the IPP Travel Retail Company and other relevant departments and agencies to do some thoughtful preparation for infrastructure, equipment, facilities and staff for programmes within the framework of the forum.

Special attention has been paid to repairing and updating infrastructure at the Da Nang Exhibition and Convention Centre to ensure the success of the upcoming event, handling customs procedures, arranging the reception area for participating delegates, and preparing for working programmes between city leaders and investors.

With the experience of hosting many large-scale international events, the city has mobilised joint efforts of all departments and agencies in preparation for the forthcoming forum.

Accordingly, the Department of Health has issued a plan to prevent and control infectious diseases and ensure the health of visitors at the Routes Asia 2022. Human resources, and healthcare equipment and machines, have been fully deployed to set up a medical area right at the centre.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has established a permanent support team under the management of the environmental incident response team. The support team is in charge of receiving information and handling environmental issues before, during and after the forum. Included will be inspecting and supervising waste collection, transportation and treatment; monitoring air quality; spraying deodorant and disinfecting products; and ensuring environmental hygiene in the city, especially venues where main and support activities will be organised within the framework of the forum.

The Food Safety Management Board has developed a plan to establish six inspection and supervision teams at banquet areas for delegates. Also, focus has been on increasing their inspections to check food preliminary processing, processing and preservation equipment and tools, and taking food samples for tests in case of emergency and neccesity.

In addition, police in the city have deployed many traffic arrangement options and arranged force at the Da Nang Exhibition and Convention Centre and other venues where main events, and support activities, will be held within the framework of the forum.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cam Thanh, Sales Manager of Da Nang International Airport under the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV), said that, in order to prepare for this large-scale event, ACV has offered a sponsorship package for the city. Specifically, in addition to financial assistance, ACV will sponsor communications images and events at 21 airports across the country in 10 days.

In addition, ACV is on track to prepare for a priority check-in service for participating delegates at Da Nang International Airport.

Many auxiliary activities on the sidelines of the event

In addition to communications activities to promote the image of Da Nang’s tourism to international friends, many auxiliary activities will be organised across the city.

Amongst the most prominent activities will be an exhibition featuring 50 beautiful photos about Da Nang, and two rows of booths displaying the city’s typical products outside the Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Between 6:30pm and 9:00pm from June 5 - 8, a parade of 15 eye-catching flower-decorated boats will take place on the Han River Port - Han River Bridge - Dragon Bridge - Tran Thi Ly Bridge - Nguyen Van Troi Bridge - Han River Port route.

Visitors to Da Nang on the occasion will be treated to many fascinating music performances at the estern and western ends of the Dragon Bridge, a semicircle of Bach Dang Street, a public park on the northen side of the city, and the eastern end of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge.

Moreover, the city will present conical hats with symbolises of Da Nang, and chatbot teddy bears, to participating delegates as souvenirs. Also, 70 volunteers will be arranged at event locations to provide the best support for guests.
