Thailand's Chiang Mai to host Routes Asia 2023

Chiang Mai, the cultural heartland cum the largest city in Northern Thailand, has been  announced as the official host of the next Asian Route Development Forum (Routes Asia), which is slated to take place on 14 - 16 February 2023.

The above-mentioned announcement was made by the Routes Asia 2022’s organisers and other relevant agencies at a handover event on Wednesday.

The Routes’ official website quoted Mr. Steven Small, Brand Director of Informa Routes, as saying: “Substantial and continuous infrastructure development, together with state-of-the-art conference facilities, have positioned Chiang Mai as a premier MICE centre destination, making it the perfect location for Routes Asia 2023. The event will provide a unique opportunity for the city to showcase the significant infrastructure developments to the region’s leading aviation stakeholders.”

Meanwhile, Airports of Thailand, said: “Routes Asia is essential to rebuilding route networks across the region. AOT is looking forward to being a part of further carrying this momentum by hosting the Routes Asia 2023 event in Chiang Mai.”

As the only route development event dedicated to the Asia Pacific region, Routes Asia 2023 will promote discussions about measures to drive recovery and future growth for Asia's route networks.

As the host of Routes Asia 2023, the Thailand representatives invited all of the delegates to attend Routes Asia 2023 in Chiang Mai.

As reported, Routes Asia 2022 took place in Da Nang from June 4 to 8 with the companionship of the UK-based Informa Routes and IPP Travel Retail, a member of IPPG.

Mr. Small sincerely thanked Da Nang’s relevant agencies and IPP Travel Retail and businesses for having participated in Routes Asia 2022.

During this year’s event, the aviation industry’s delegates joined a wide range of effective experience exchanges and discussions in Da Nang.
