120 organisations and individuals honoured for fulfilling tax payment obligations 2021

In the first half of the year, Da Nang's total domestic revenue reached VND10,738 billion, representing 71.1% of the year's estimates and equaling 121.7% over the same period last year.

Of this, the collection of land-use fees hit VND1,919 billion, reaching 71.1% of the estimates and equaling 300.8% over the same period. Meanwhile, VND 8,819 billion was collected from taxes, fees and other budget collections, fulfilling 71.1% of the estimates and representing 107.8% over the same period.

The figures were released by the Da Nang Taxation Department at a Thursday ceremony to honour top taxpayers in 2021.

Speaking at the ceremony, municipal People’s Committee Standing Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh applauded businesses and typical businesses households for their significant contributions to the city's progress, especially in the context of COVID-19.

He took the opportunity to ask businesses to continue to report their difficulties and obstacles to departments and sectors at grassroots level for prompt handling, as well as constantly innovate, create, exploit all potentials, and build corporate culture.

Mr. Minh also suggested organisations and individuals continue to perform well their tax obligations, and asked the local tax sector to strengthen administrative reform and IT application to better support businesses.

He affirmed that the municipal authorities were committed to always accompanying businesses to promptly handle their problems, difficulties and obstacles during their operation in the city.

On the occasion, about 120 organizations and individuals were honoured for fulfilling their tax payment obligations and contributing to the city’s socio-economic development.

In particular, one organisation was awarded a Certificate Of Merit from the Ministry of Finance, whilst 19 organisations were given Certificates Of Merit from the Da Nang People's Committee. The remaining 98 organisations and individuals received Certificates of Appreciation.
