Conference to boost trade connections in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands
A conference on connecting trade between suppliers in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands along with exporters and trade promotion organisations took place in Da Nang on Friday.

The event was jointly organised by the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Departments of Industry and Trade of the provinces and cities in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions.
The conference attracted more than 250 participants who were leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, provinces and cities and the Departments of Industry and Trade in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions, along with representatives from industry associations, embassies, and foreign trade promotion organisations based in Viet Nam.
It features a display area introducing typical products, products with export potential of 16 provinces and cities in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions with the participation of more than 300 suppliers and businesses.
The programme is expected to attract about 15,000 domestic and international visitors to visit and shop over four days from July 15-18.
Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency, said that the conference was as part of the National Program on Trade Promotion in 2022 with the aim to promote support for businesses to continue production, connect supply and demand between businesses and distributors and exporting businesses and foreign trade promotion organisations.
Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade Le Thi Kim Phuong highlighted the significance of the conference, along with a series of activities to connect trade, display and introduce products held in Da Nang, in helping businesses in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions, including those in Da Nang, seek opportunities to promote the export of their products directly or through foreign distribution systems, hereby boosting import and export activities of each locality”.
