Da Nang ensures petrol quality management of petroleum for benefits of customers
Da Nang's functional bodies have beefed up petroleum quality management at petrol and oil trading establishments citywide, thereby contributing to ensuring the best interests of customers.

Data provided by the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade shows that the city now houses 41 petroleum businesses and agents with a total of 105 retail stations.
Businesses and retail stations all feature modern, synchronous equipment and publicly-listed prices, meeting the regulations according to the national technical regulations on the design of petrol stations.
Among them, there are 4 key enterprises, namely Region V Petroleum Company - One Member Limited Liability Company, Branch of Central Petroleum Joint Stock Company PV Oil Central in Da Nang, Hoa Khanh General Trading and Service Company Limited and Military Petroleum Company Zone 2.
Besides, 3 petroleum distributors, namely Thanh Huyen Co., Ltd., Hoa My Petroleum JSC, Lan Le Co., Ltd. all supply about 90% of the total amount of petrol in the city.
Mr. Do Minh Hien, Deputy Director of Region V Petroleum Company - One Member Limited Liability Company said that ensuring the quality and quantity of goods supplied to the market is an important factor. The company always takes and stores samples and preserves petroleum in accordance with regulations.
For the petrol station system, the process of importing petroleum into the tank is complied with the company's regulations to ensure the quality of gasoline, avoiding the case of mixing goods.
In addition to the petroleum business enterprises being proactive in quality assurance and price listing, state management units such as the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, the Market Management Bureau, the Office of Quality Measurement Standards Quality under the municipal Department of Science and Technology also pay special attention to the inspection and testing of petrol and oil quality and prices to ensure the interests of consumers.
Specifically, the Market Management Bureau has displayed the listing of hotline phone numbers at gas stations across the city to receive feedback from consumers about violations of the law in petroleum trading activities. Up to now, there have been no violations in listing prices nor selling at the wrong listed prices of gas stations in the city.
Regarding the quality of petroleum, the Office of Standards and Metrology Management under the Department of Science and Technology said that the quality of petrol and oil supplied to consumers must conform to national technical regulations.
In the first half of this year, the Department of Science and Technology has directed local competent agencies to strengthen the inspection, testing and survey of measurement and quality at 27 petroleum trading establishments and taken samples of petrol and oil from 10 establishments for quality testing.
As a result, at the time of inspection, the facilities had found complying with the provisions of the law on measurement. 100% of the petrol and oil samples sent for testing met the requirements as prescribed. The errors in the measuring column are within the allowable limits, and petrol and oil measuring poles all have test stamps with IC seals kept intact.
In the coming time, the municipal Department of Science and Technology will preside over promulgating plans for inspection, survey, measurement and quality in petroleum business activities, appoint civil servants to participate in inspection delegations chaired by other agencies.
This agency will coordinate with the municipal Tax Department in managing the stamps of general meters, conducting more surprise inspections to timely detect violations.
