Developing central coastal area into tourism economic linkage zone
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has signed a decision approving the project "Developing clusters of marine economic sectors associated with building strong marine economic centres by 2030".
The scheme identifies the creation of clusters of marine economic linkages in advantageous coastal and marine areas, striving to form about 7 clusters of marine economic sectors by 2030, specially in key areas associated with building into a strong marine economic centers of the country, of which 3 - 4 are leading strong ones in Southeast Asia.
In particular, heed will be paid to strongly developing tourism economy with centres and complexes of eco-tourism, entertainment, sea and island resorts of high quality and international stature in clusters linking the marine economy in central coastal area, the southwest sea area (Kien Giang - Ca Mau) and other areas with suitable conditions.
The objective of the project is create clusters of marine economic sectors with effective development, high competitiveness and integration in association with building strong national marine economic centers, creating a driving force to promote rapid and sustainable development of marine economy of the whole country and coastal areas in all aspects of economy, culture, society, environment, national defence and security, aiming for Viet Nam to become a strong maritime nation by 2030.
