Good infrastructure and policies needed for supporting Da Nang businesses to promote digital transformation

Representatives of more than 500 small, medium and micro-sized enterprises across Da Nang attended a seminar on digital transformation entitled ‘Welcoming East Winds’ on Saturday.

The one-day event was jointly organized by the Nextpay Digital Transformation Group JSC, the city branch of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the municipal Young Entrepreneurs’ Association, and the local Small and Medium-sized Enterprises’ Association.

It provided the participants with useful knowledge and experience relating to digital transformation.

In his remarks at the event, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NextTech Group JSC Nguyen Hoa Binh said that his company has recently coordinated, supported and boosted digital transformation for more than 110,000 customers and partners in 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Besides, the company has provided over 20 digital transformation products in business management, payment management, capital advance, and more.

The company has called on active support and efforts from businesses and customers to help it realise its goal of boosting comprehensive digital transformation for one million small, medium and micro-sized enterprises, thereby contributing an additional US$15 billion to Viet Nam's GDP in the next 5 years.

Chairman Nguyen Hoa Binh also put a spotlight on the need for Da Nang to develop good infrastructure and environment, and issue effective management policies.

He stressed the necessity for local residents, business households and businesses to identify good products, as well as approach new communication tools and digital transformation to promote tourism activities and accelerate digital transformation in businesses.

Meanwhile, Director of the IT Plus Consulting and Technology JSC Vi Van Ich asked for support from the city and local media agencies to widely publicise Da Nang's tourism application products and services on websites and information channels, allowing tourists to conveniently search and use products. This will significantly contribute to promote the development of local tourism, and socio-economic growth.

Mr. Vi Van Ich highlighted the need for businesses to standardise their operation process before conducting digital transformation.

The focus will be on developing a roadmap and orientation for retraining or recruiting human resources for ensuring the smooth operation because digital transformation will change the whole process. In particular, business owners must sustainably form internal and external cultural foundations, added he.
