On June 29, the Phu Quoc High Speed Boat JSC (Phu Quoc Express) made proposal to the Da Nang People’s Committee on changing passenger pick-up/drop-off location on the Da Nang - Ly Son inland waterway tourism route to the CT15 inland wharf near the Son Tra Peninsula instead of the Han River Port as previously operated.

On July 7, the municipal government issued Official Letter No. 2439/VP-DTDT to the Da Nang Port Authority regarding the proposal made by the Phu Quoc Express.

In order to create favourable conditions for businesses to maintain the operation of the Da Nang - Ly Son fixed passenger transport route, on July 12, Director of the Da Nang Port Authority Trinh The Cuong sent an official letter to the municipal government showing agreement with the proposal of the Phu Quoc Express.

Also, the Da Nang Port Authority has asked for support from the municipal People's Committee to facilitate the Phu Quoc Express to rent and use the CT15 inland wharf as a departure berth in Da Nang for the operation of the Da Nang-Ly Son route.

The Department of Transport has been directed to act as the focal point to handle problems arising during the implementation process.

Currently, the city's functional agencies are urgently considering related issues to report and propose the municipal People's Committee to have an official document on the above issue.

According to the latest announcement by the Phu Quoc Express, the high-speed ship, named Trung Trac, which is used to transport passengers on the Da Nang-Ly Son waterway tourism route, will depart from the CT15 inland wharf near the Son Tra Peninsula instead of the Han River Port as before and continue to operate on Saturdays and Sundays from July 23 to August 14.
