VND3.5 billion for local industrial promotion projects in 2022

The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade on Friday held a meeting to guide industry promotion policies, develop the production of souvenirs and connect supply and demand for packaging products in the city.

In 2022, VND 3.5 billion from the municipal budget is spent on implementing local industrial promotion projects in Da Nang.

In detail, in the first phase, more than VND2.8 billion worth of support is allocated for 10 projects developed by 11 businesses.

Industries and trades that are entitled to industrial promotion policies include agro-forestry-fishery processing industry and food processing; the production of industrial goods for consumption and export, goods replacing imported ones; the production of building materials; handicrafts; products, spare parts, assembly and repair of machinery and equipment, mechanical, electrical, electronic - informatics tools; manufacturing and processing semi-finished products and supporting industries; souvenir products associated with tourism development; products using local, environmentally-friendly materials; the application of cleaner production in industrial production facilities.

According to the regulations, the level of support ranges from a few dozens to hundreds of millions of VND, of which, 30% of the cost (no more than VND500 million/model) is to build a demonstration model to popularise new technology and produce new product, support 30% of the cost (no more than VND300 million /model) to build a pilot model on applying cleaner production in industrial production establishments; support 50% (not more than VND 300 million/facility) for the application of advanced machinery and equipment, technological transformation, scientific and technical progress into industrial and handicrafts production. In case of spending on technology lines, the support level is not more than VND450 million/facility.
