The Da Nang Irrigation Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company said on Tuesday that it had just completed the installation of a scaffolding structure and some equipment in service of waste treatment at the An Trach Dam located in Hoa Tien Commune, Hoa Vang District during the flood season.

The 1.5m-wide and 30m-long structure is made of anti-slip ribbed steel and has 1m-high handrail. The entrance to the scaffolding structure is hung on the reinforced concrete pillar of the dam.

The company is currently purchasing salvage equipment for floating objects on the water and the installation work is expected to be completed before this year's flood season.

The installation of the structure and the purchasing of waste treatment equipment at the An Trach Dam cost a total of VND486 million funded by the Da Nang Disaster Prevention Fund in order to actively drain floods through the dam, reduce flood in the upstream and ensure the safety of the dam.
