The Da Nang government has issued a plan to implement the national strategy for developing digital economy and digital society until 2025 with a vision to 2030.

Accordingly, the digital economy is hoped to account for 20% and 30% of the city’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) by 2025 and 2030 respectively.

The digital economy is expected to account for 10% and at least 20% of each sector by 2025 and 2030 respectively. Especially, the proportion of digital economy in tourism, finance-banking and e-commerce sectors will reach at least 30% by 2030.

The rate of enterprises using e-contracts in their commercial activities will be more than 80% by 2025 and100% by 2030.

As for the digital society, Da Nang sets a target that by 2025, each household will have a digital address and access to broadband internet services. 100% of people of working age will use smartphones, and have digital accounts and digital citizenship records.

The proportion of local dwellers aged 15 and over having transaction accounts at banks or other authorised organisation will reach 100%, whilst the rate of adults having digital signatures or personal electronic signatures will be set at more than 50%.

More than 70% of citizens connected to the network will be protected at a basic level, and 90% of residents and businesses will be equipped with digital skills and codes of conduct in the digital environment.

By 2030, the percentage of the adult population having smartphones will reach 100%, and the rate of the population aged 15 and over having digital accounts and digital citizenship records will be 100%.

Also, the rate of adults having digital signatures or personal electronic signatures will be more than 70%. The percentage of people of working age who will be trained in basic digital skills will be more than 80%, while the proportion of people connected to the network that is protected at a basic level will reach more than 80%.
