The Centre for Agro-Forestry Extension under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on Monday handed over mechanised machinery and equipment to farmers for agricultural production in the city.

The aforementioned equipment and machinery included continuous hand transplanting machine, multi-purpose earthmoving machine and cultivator. After handover, farmers were guided on how to operate and do maintenance to avoid during-usage damage and problems.

It is known that farmers participating in this supportive programme enjoyed a 50% subsidy of the cost of new machinery, provided that they must commit to use it for the right purpose, not selling or transferring it in any forms.

Previously, the centre had installed solar batteries on offshore fishing boats owned by 7 fishermen in Son Tra and Thanh Khe districts to help them participate in the fishery promotion model in 2022.
