After 15 reductions, steel price increased 3 times continuously in first half of Sept.
A number of steel companies have increased construction steel prices by several hundred thousand VND/tonne. This is the 3rd consecutive price increase since the beginning of September 2022, with a total rise of more than VND2 million /tonne.

Specifically, Southern Steel Company has increased by VND410,000 /tonne for CB240 steel to VND15.43 million/tonne; D10 CB300 up by VND200,000/tonne to VND15.83 million/tonne.
In a similar vein, the Thai Nguyen Steel Company also lifted the price of these two aforementioned types of steel with an increase of VND580,000/tonne and VND490,000/tonne, respectively.
The Viet Nhat Steel, CB240 coil steel went by VND880,000/tonne to VND 15.02 million/tonne whilst D10 CB300 rebar increased by VND470,000/tonne to VND15.22 million/tonne.
Meanwhile, Viet Nam - Italy Steel Company also rose the price of CB240 steel by VND400,000/tonne to VND15.12 million/tonne, D10 CB300 up by VND110,000/tonne to VND15.12 million/tonne.
With Kyoei steel, from September 14, CB240 and D10 CB300 are priced at VND15.12 million/tonne and VND15.38 million/tonne, respectively, after a rise of VND480,000/tonne and VND130,000/tonne.
Likewise, the Hoa Phat Steel Company also announced an upward adjustment by VND400,000/tonne for CB420 steel coil to VND14.82 million. Meanwhile, D10 CB300 steel remained unchanged at VND15.12 million/tonne.
Previously, after 15 consecutive declines with a rather deep drop, steel prices has increased again since the end of August.
