Last July, members of the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs’ Association had more opportunities to meet and exchange experience with Lao and Thai businesses when attending a forum on connecting Da Nang and Thailand businesses.
The forum was jointly organised by the municipal People's Committee, the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the event, the local Young Entrepreneurs’ Association and the Thailand - Vietnam Entrepreneurs Association signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in trade, investment and tourism.
Soon after, the city's Young Entrepreneurs’ Association established a trade promotion delegation to visit Laos with the aim to connect businesses in Da Nang, Laos and Thailand.
Immediately after connecting business with other countries, in August, the municipal Young Entrepreneurs’ Association inked a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the Ha Noi Young Business Association.
Under the deal, Da Nang and Ha Noi businesses will foster their cooperation in 4 groups of industries, namely real estate - construction, commerce - services - tourism, production - processing - ancillary, and digital transformation - training.
Chairman of the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs’ Association Le Tri Hai said that the association now has more than 600 members, together creating jobs for more than 60,000 people.
Over the past time, the association has shown its vital role in gathering and supporting businesses as well as acting as a bridge between businesses and the local government, added Mr. Hai.
Currently, the association is focusing on organising training courses on enhancing management capacity; boosting digital transformation; promoting business connection and cooperation activities; removing obstacles and difficulties related to policies; and strengthening international cooperation.

Meanwhile, the city’s Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises is implementing many business support programmes.
In particular, in mid-July, the Association in collaboration with the Representative Office of the Viet Nam Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises organised the 2nd edition of the National Business Connection programme themed ‘Cooperation and Investment’ in Da Nang.
During the programme, participating businesses were equipped with digital transformation-related knowledge, and were introduced about projects and investment opportunities in Da Nang.
Mr. Pham Bac Binh, Chairman of the Da Nang Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, said that during the programme, there were 5 cooperation agreements signed between enterprises.
In addition to business connections, over the past time, the association has regularly contributed ideas and gathered reasonable aspirations of the business community to send to the concerned city government, thereby helping small and medium-sized business community solve their difficulties and problems, and promote their development in the current difficult situation.
As an organisation that connects female entrepreneurs, the municipal Women Entrepreneurs’ Association is coordinating with the local Women's Union to implement the project ‘Building a network of female entrepreneurs, small traders and start-uppers in the city’s socio-economic development during the 2022-2026 period’.
This project aims to gather a network of women entrepreneurs in the city to support each other, improve women's economic power, and propose policies and solutions to support businesswomen and female small traders and to protect women's legitimate rights and interests.
