Taipei-Da Nang air service resumed after over 2 years
The STARLUX Airlines on Friday morning resumed its air service connecting Da Nang and Taipei, Taiwan (China) after over two years of suspension due to COVID-19.

Accordingly, flight JX701, carrying a total of 180 international passengers, departing from the Taipei Taoyuan Airport, touched down at Da Nang International Airport at 9:25 am on Friday.
This is the STARLUX Airlines' first flight to resume its air service between Da Nang and Taipei after a long period of disruption due to the pandemic.
According to the STARLUX Airlines, the freshly-resumed air route operates 3 flights per week with a flight journey of 2 hours 50 minutes. The flight departs from Taipei at 7:35 am (at local time) and lands in Da Nang at 9:25 am (at local time).
Present on the first flight to Da Nang, Ms. Yang expressed her delight at receiving a warm welcome from leaders of the municipal Tourism Promotion Centre under the Department of Tourism, the Da Nang International Airport, and the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC.

She added she has heard a lot about Da Nang through media channels and social network sites. Therefore, when the flight resumes, she really wants to visit this beautiful city. She hoped that during her 5-day stay in Da Nang, she will have wonderful experience at the city’s popular scenic spots.
Mr. Roger Yen, Chief Representative of STARLUX Airlines in Viet Nam, said that STARLUX Airlines operates 3 flights per week from now until late November, and the flight frequency will further increase in December.
He remarked that Da Nang has always been one of the new and attractive destinations for tourists, so he expected the newly-resume air service will exploit the maximum capacity to meet the expectations of visitors.

According to Ms. Mai Thi Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, over the past time, the city's tourism industry has made great efforts to connect and expand international air routes to Da Nang, showing many positive signals.
STARLUX Airlines’ restarting of direct flights between Taipei and Da Nang is considered to be the next good news for Da Nang tourism industry in connecting international markets, and contributing to increasing the number of international visitors to the city.
