Da Nang eyes at least 75,000 IT employees by 2025
The Da Nang government has issued a plan on developing information technology (IT) human resources for digital transformation in Da Nang until 2025.

According to the plan, by 2025, the information and communication technology (ICT) industry will account for at least 10% of the city's GRDP.
The proportion of the digital economy in each industry and field will reach at least 10%.
The number of digital technology enterprises will reach 3 enterprises/1,000 people.
At least 5 digital technology enterprises in the city will generate a turnover of over VND 1,000 billion/year or contribute over VND 100 billion/year to the State budget
The city also eyes a target of employing at least 75,000 IT and digital transformation human resources in digital economy development activities.
Also, 100% of the civil servants and public employees in government agencies, officials in charge of IT will access trainings on digital technology, information security and digital transformation every year whilst 50% of the public employees are trained in terms of analysis, data mining and digital technology skills.
In addition, 90% of the people of working age will be able to use online public services and other essential digital services in such fields as health, education and banking.
80% of the senior high schools will have an annual digital technology and digital transformation publicity program and 50% of the educational institutions from primary to high school level organize STEM/STEAM education activities and digital skills.
The ‘digital higher education’ model will be implemented on trial at the Viet Nam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology.
