Da Nang to set up two high -tech farming zones

The Da Nang government has directed local relevant agencies to implement a number of tasks on promoting the development of high-tech farming.

The municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will work with authorities at local level and relevant units to promote and replicate successful high-tech, organic and ecological farming models across the city. Heed will be paid to implementing support policies to boost the development of agriculture and rural areas in line with the direction from the municipal People’s Council.

Importance will be attached to providing active support for Hoa Vang District authorities to set up two high-tech farming zones in Hoa Phu and Hoa Khuong communes as soon as possible, as well as create production plans for these areas.

In detail, one will be set up on an area of 261,000 square metres in Hoa Khuong Commune, whilst the other, covering an area of 245,000 square metres, will be located in Hoa Phu Commune, along the banks of the Tuy Loan River.

The municipal Department of Planning and Investment will implement support policies to facilitate domestic and foreign businesses to invest in agriculture and rural areas. The Management Board for the Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Projects is asked to conduct detailed planning for the establishment of the hi-tech agricultural subdivision with a total area of ​​2,986 ha soonest in accordance with the city’s master plan. Special attention will be paid to speeding up investments in technical infrastructure for the two high-tech farming zones in Hoa Vang district.
