Viet Nam petrol prices increase for fourth consecutive time

Petrol prices were revised up for the fourth time in a row at 3:00 pm on Friday by the Ministries of Industry and Trade, and Finance.

The retail price of bio-fuel E5 RON 92 rose by VND840 to VND22,710 per litre, while that of the popular RON95 gasoline climbed to VND23,860 per litre, up VND1,110.

Meanwhile, the price of diesel was adjusted down by VND90 to reach VND24,980 per litre. Kerosene and Mazut 180CST 3.5S oil now cost VND 24,740 and VND 14,760 per litre, a rise of VND960 and VND680, respectively.

The two ministries also decided to extract VND200 per litre, and VND300 per litre from petrol and mazut prices for the petrol price stabilisation fund.

So far this year, petrol prices have been adjusted 29 times with 15 times up and 12 times down and one kept unchanged.
