Approval for Hoa Lien-Tuy Toan Expressway
The Ministry of Transport has recently given a nod for the construction of the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section of the North-South Expressway, which runs through Da Nang, at a cost of nearly VND 2.113 trillion.
The section has a total length of 11.5km with the starting point at Km66+000 adjacent to the Hoa Lien intersection in the Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang District, and the end point at Km77+472 adjacent to the starting point of the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway in Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District.
In the first stage, the expressway will feature four running lanes with road bed width of 22m and road surface width of 14m, allowing a maximum speed of 80 kilometres. The number of running lanes will be increased to six at a later phase.
Of the total cost, VND951 billion will be spent on site clearance, VND902 billion on construction work and over VND177 billion on backup cost.
The construction of the Hoa Lien-Tuy Loan Expressway section, funded from the government budget, is scheduled to commence in 2023 and is expected to be completed within two years.
It is expected that VND4.6 billion will be disbursed in 2022, VND845 billion/ year in 2023 and 2024, and more than VND418 billion in 2025. The project is invested by the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board.
Once completed, it will enhance the transport link between the La Son-Hoa Lien Expressway and the Da Nang-Quang Ngai Expressway, boosting socio-economic development in Da Nang and the surrounding region.
