As reported by the Viet Nam General Department of Taxation, the tax revenue in 2022 is estimated at VND 1,460,100 billion, surpassing by 24.3% in  the ordinance estimate, equivalent to VND285,200 billion, up 8.5% over the same period in 2021.

Out of the above-mentioned figure, domestic revenue was estimated at VND1,387,200 billion, exceeding by 21% of the estimate or VND240,500 billion, up 6.6% from the year-ago period.

The updates mentioned above were announced at an online meeting held on Thursday by the General Department of Taxation to outline tax collection tasks in 2023 and made the debut of the e-commerce portal and electronic invoices generated from cash registers.

Finance Minister Ho Duc Phuc directed the tax sector to improve the management capacity for agencies in charge of taxation collection, prevention of tax fraud and evasion, and implementation of electronic tax management.

It will also further promote IT application in tax management, and create a favourable, clear and transparent environment for taxpayers, among other works.
