Nghe An, Thanh Hoa promote tourism in Da Nang

Within the framework of the ongoing the Viet Nam International Travel Mart (VITM) Da Nang 2022, the Nghe An Provincial Department of Tourism held a conference on Saturday to promote its destination in the city.

During the event entitled ‘Nghe An - Back to homeland of Vi-Dam singing’, the participants were introduced to some popular attractions and new tourism products in the north-central province of Nghe An, along with a variety of tourism promotion programmes on the occasion of New Year and Tet holidays 2023.

In addition, there were a business-to-business meeting, and a display space for Nghe An and Thanh Hoa tourism publications, documents and articles, tourism gifts, provincial specialties, and tours connecting Nghe An Province to other localities at both home and abroad.

Speaking at the conference, General Director of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh highlighted the significance of the conference in introducing the provinces’ tourism images to Da Nang, promoting the tourism cooperation between Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Da Nang, and attract a source of potential tourists from the city to the provinces.

He took the opportunity to ask the Nghe An Provincial Department of Tourism to take advantage of side activities at VITM Da Nang 2022 to learn about and exploit the needs and tastes of people and businesses of Da Nang with other central localities in a bid to develop tailored products to suit tourists' needs.

Mr. Khanh stressed the need for localities to facilitate tourism firms in the mid-central and south-central regions to conduct surveys about tourism products in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces.

Meanwhile, he underlined the necessity for Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces to advertise their tourism in Da Nang and other central localities in the most effective way by applying 4.0 technology and digital platforms.

He encouraged Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Da Nang to sign cooperation agreements to have suitable cooperation and customer exchange mechanisms.

To mark the occasion, representatives of Tourism Associations of Da Nang, and Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces, entered into agreements to enhance their cooperation in tourism.
