Information and communication industry estimated at VND 34,293 billion in revenue 2022

It is known that the total revenue of the Da Nang information and communication industry in 2022 was estimated at VND 34,293 billion, reaching 103.4 percent of the year’s plan, up 9.6% from the same period in 2021.

In particular, the turnover of software exports reached $132 million, reaching 120% of the year’s the plan, up 34% over the same period in 2021. The digital economy was estimated to contribute a proportion of 17% to Da Nang's GRDP.

Also, 100% of the administrative procedures in the field of trade promotion in the city are deployed online public services at level 4, the highest level in Viet Nam’s online public service system, allowing the reception and returning of results through the Public Service Portal.

All of the enterprises are satisfied with the results of administrative procedures in the electronic environment.

The citywide online filing rate reached 73%, 1.5 times higher than the national average. Da Nang has integrated 1,476 public services onto the National Public Service Portal, becoming the province with the fourth largest number of integrated online public services.

The target of 2023 is that the city's information and communication industry revenue will reach VND 36,200 billion, equal to 105.56% compared to 2022. Software export turnover will reach USD 146 million, equal to 110% compared to 2022.

The Da Nang Department of Information and Communications coordinated with relevant units to promote the implementation of the project of ‘building Da Nang into a smart city’, implementing a digital transformation scheme, building e-government towards digital government, digital economy and digital society.

Also, heed has been paid to perfecting the e-government information system, improving the quantity and quality of online public service provision, creating a foundation to completing the construction of a smart city by 2030 and synchronously connecting to the urban network smart in the country and ASEAN region as a whole.

The aforementioned information was released at a recent meeting to review the 2022 performance of the local information and communication industry.

On this occasion, 3 units and 3 individuals were awarded the Certificate of Merit from the municipal People's Committee for their outstanding contributions to the development of the information and communication industry in 2022.

Also, 13 units and 16 individuals received certificates of merit from the municipal Department of Information and Communications for their achievements in implementing information and communication tasks in 2022.
